Bio

Taisen Tullus is a California based trombonist and educator. Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, Taisen graduated high school from Monte Vista High School and attends college at California State Long Beach. Currently, Taisen is actively studying music education and jazz studies at Long Beach State University, where he is studying under Jeff Jarvis and Francisco Torres.

Taisen has performed with Andy Martin, Francisco Torres, Mary Fettig, Kyle Athayde, Ravi Coltrane, Spencer Sussman, Mario Silva, Guido Fazio, Matt Finders, Javier Cabanillas, Omar Ledezma, Dayna Stephens, Lady Kaye & the Kings of Swing, Dan Fornero, Aaron Lington and many more.

Taisen has performed in a plethora of bands, earning leadership positions and honing his craft. Some of which include The Contra Costa County Honor Band, East Bay Jazz High School All Stars, Los Positas Jazz Ensemble, The Kings of Swing, Monte Vista Musical Pit, Monte Vista Jazz Band A, Monte Vista Jazz Band B, Monte Vista Wind Ensemble, Monte Vista Symphonic Band, Monte Vista Marching Band, Monte Vista Jazz Combo and many more.

Taisen currently resides in Long Beach California where he studies, teaches, composes, arranges and performs music.
